D-day for Marshall's injury
Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall will consult coach Tim Sheens on Thursday morning before deciding whether to delay shoulder surgery until the NRL off-season.
Marshall dislocated his shoulder against North Queensland on Friday night, just five games after having it repaired with reconstructive surgery over the summer.
The gifted playmaker, who has now suffered five shoulder dislocations in his career, said Sheens' input would play a part in his decision.
"I've got to see the coach tomorrow and see what he has to say about it," Marshall said.
Meanwhile, Craig Fitzgibbon, Craig Wing, Ashley Harrison and Peter Cusack threw their support behind RADD - Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes against Drink Driving.
In all, 70 NRL players have lent their voices to the initiative, which warns about the dangers of drink-driving, particularly over the Easter period.
The message had special relevance to Cusack, who lost a friend in a drink-driving related car accident.
Other celebrities to support the cause include Ian Thorpe, Delta Goodrem, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Barnes, Adam Gilchrist, Eric Bana and Missy Higgins.
"We all know of the devastating effects of drink driving and we're hopeful these messages delivered by NRL players will make people think twice about the consequences of their actions," NRL chief executive David Gallop said at the launch of the partnership between the NRL and RADD.
