Aussie gymnast Russo makes history
Monette Russo created gymnastics history by becoming the first Australian woman to qualify for more than one apparatus final at a world championships.
The 17-year-old Victorian won through to the finals on beam and uneven bars, as well as ranking third behind America's Anastasia Liukin (37.424) and Chellsie Memmel (37.412) in the women's all-around to qualify for Friday's final.
Russo scored 9.4 on uneven bars and finished in eighth place to progress to the final on Saturday.
The Athens Olympian finished third on beam behind Romanian Catalina Ponor (9.562) and Ye Fan from China (9.550) and will compete in the final on Sunday.
