Aussies' confidence still high: Hussey
Australia's cricketers still have a high level of confidence despite four successive losses this Ashes tour, according to batsman Mike Hussey.
Ahead of Thursday's tri-series day-night international against England at the Riverside Ground, Hussey said the signs were good that Australia had improved every game, particularly at Bristol last Sunday when only a remarkable 91 not out from Kevin Pietersen stole victory for England.
"It's still very strong, spirits are very high and I think we're improving, going up a couple of notches every single game so that's a good sign and we just need to keep the worm going in the right direction," Hussey said.
In more good news, paceman Brett Lee bowled at training for the first time since he experienced shoulder soreness last Thursday against Somerset.
The speedster is a good chance to come back into the side to play England.
Hussey, whose 84 in Bristol was the first time he had been dismissed in a one-dayer and took his ODI average to 229, was looking forward to playing again at Durham's home ground, as he captained the county earlier this season.
"Oh yeah, definitely," he said.
"The people up here are fantastic, they've been a great support and the team's been playing really well, so it's been very easy to settle in and I really enjoy it up in this part of the world," he said.
"So it certainly feels like a home away from home here."
