Viduka likely to stay at Leeds
Mark Viduka looks likely to stay at Leeds United unless Italian club Inter Milan lodges a last-minute bid for the Socceroo striker before the transfer window closes.
Late last week Leeds turned down a STG10 million loan bid from Inter for Viduka, whose agent has been actively looking for a new club for months.
Inter has until 5pm Monday (0200 Tuesday AEST) to make a better bid but Viduka appears resigned to staying at the Yorkshire club.
"It's not really up to me," Viduka said.
"It's a decision the club has made."
However, Viduka, who scored his 50th premiership goal against Middlesbrough last Saturday, said he was happy to stay at the club.
"I like being at Leeds. I love playing here. It's so good because Leeds is my team," he said.
"You have got to consider everything, but I was never just going to go somewhere for the sake of going.
"I'm comfortable here and I like the Premiership as well. I'm in no rush to trade any of that and anyway, this is not a bad place to be. I feel things are looking up."
During the off-season, Viduka made no secret of his desire to leave the cash-strapped club after it sold off a string of top players, including Harry Kewell, and narrowly evaded relegation.
