Leeds deny selling Viduka
UK soccer club Leeds United has ruled out selling its Australian striker Mark Viduka to Barcelona.
Leeds chairman John McKenzie said Barcelona had made no official approach and even if they did Leeds manager Peter Reid would turn them down.
"There has been no approach to me and we would quite simply say no if they did make an approach," said McKenzie.
"Peter Reid has made it clear he wants Mark to stay and we haven't had any indication from Mark Viduka that he wants to go anywhere. That's really the end of the story."
Barcelona have claimed they are already talking to Viduka's agent, Andrea D'Amico.
But the club are not allowed to discuss terms with the player unless Leeds give them permission to talk.
"I have always been up front when we have received a bid from another club and that has not been the case with Mark," added McKenzie.
McKenzie is also trying to work out where his other Australian, Harry Kewell, is going. Kewell is set for crunch talks later this week after his agent said six clubs were chasing him.
