US favourites against Slovaks
The United States will start as red-hot favourites to become the first nation to claim back to back Hopman Cup tennis titles in Perth.
The US pairing of Lindsay Davenport and James Blake will take on the Slovak Republic's Daniela Hantuchova and Karol Kucera.
The European pair take patchy form into the final at the mixed teams event at the Burswood Dome.
They are replacing Australia in the final after the hosts were forced to pull out because of a foot injury to Alicia Molik.
