NRL Warriors still buzzing: Cleary
Warriors coach Ivan Cleary says his side is still feeding off the positive energy of last week's dramatic win over West Tigers, heading into Saturday night's NRL preliminary final against Melbourne.
The Warriors only managed to get past the Tigers courtesy of a last-ditch try to Krisnan Inu to set up a grand final qualifier at AAMI Park in Melbourne.
"Certainly we're buoyed by last week and there's a bit of confidence and the way we finished the game off there suggests we can still be punching there at the end of the game," Cleary said.
"But when your playing against the Storm, you have to play for 80 minutes - if we're in the game with 20 to go, we'll be happy."
There are no injury dramas for the Warriors ahead of the game, but Cleary refused to rule out making some last-minute adjustments to his starting lineup.
In past weeks, he has benched strike forward Feleti Mateo and prop Sam Rapira while giving experienced utility Lance Hohaia a run from the opening whistle.
"I'll just go to bed tonight and see what comes out of my head tomorrow," Cleary said ahead of his side's final training run on Friday.
