Melbourne have withdrawn big names Billy Slater and Cameron Smith from Sunday night's NRL clash with the Sydney Roosters.
Slater and Smith were among four players named to start to be ruled out when the teams were named an hour before kick-off.
Props Jesse Bromwich and Bryan Norrie will also sit out the match.
The Storm were confirmed as minor premiers when Manly lost to Brisbane on Sunday afternoon, meaning it is likely the players are being rested.
