Thomas fine, Didak maybe for Magpies
In-form Collingwood midfield star Dale Thomas says he will play in Saturday's AFL blockbuster against Carlton at the MCG.
And fellow star Magpie Alan Didak is a chance to return from injury.
Thomas was subbed off late in the third term of Sunday's huge win over North Melbourne, after receiving a knock to the knee.
But the 24-year-old - who was one of the Magpies' best, with 26 touches and three goals against the Kangaroos despite playing less than three quarters - said there was no lasting damage.
"I am feeling fine," Thomas told the club's website on Tuesday.
"I sustained a knock to my knee in the first half and, during the third quarter, the coaches decided it was time for me to have a breather, even though I was keen to play on."
He said the clash with the fourth-placed Blues will be a good test for the top-placed Magpies as they look ahead to finals.
Didak has missed Collingwood's past two matches with a calf injury, with Magpies' football director Geoff Walsh saying he needs to prove himself at training.
"Provided he trains strongly on Wednesday, he will be in contention," Walsh said.
