Winmar re-signs with Saints
St Kilda have enticed veteran forward Stephen Milne to play on for at least one more AFL season.
Milne, the Saints' leading goalkicker last year, has signed a one-year contract extension to line up in 2012.
The 31-year-old has played 226 games since making his AFL debut for the Saints in 2001.
One of the competition's most effective small forwards, Milne has bagged a total of 459 career goals to be in fourth place on the club's all-time list.
Milne currently leads the Saints for goals scored in 2011 with 25.
"Stephen's leadership within the club as well as in the broader community is certainly a credit to him and a quality greatly valued by everyone at the Saints," said St Kilda CEO Michael Nettlefold.
St Kilda have also extended the contract of young utility Nick Winmar for two more years.
Injured for much of last season, Winmar made his AFL debut this year and has so far played two games.
A second cousin of former Saints great Nicky Winmar, he joined the club after being taken at pick 32 in the 2009 national draft.
