Goddard's AFL future still unclear
St Kilda's All-Australian Brendon Goddard has left the door open for Greater Western Sydney, saying he'll look at any offer if and when it comes along.
Goddard caused controversy last weekend telling a radio interviewer he'd given everything to the Saints but had to look after his future.
"For me personally, I'm as loyal as they come but at some stage players are going to start thinking about their future and life after football is a lot longer than life in it," the 26-year-old utility said on Triple M.
The Saints star, whose contract expires at the end of the 2012 season, said on Thursday he was unaware of any offer from GWS, who join the AFL next year.
"I'm a very happy St Kilda player at the minute. I hope my future likes with St Kilda," Goddard said on the Nine Network's Footy Show.
"But I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
"If that (multi-million dollar offer from GWS) comes up we'll sit down and assess the situation.
"It's all hypothetical. I can't sit here and make judgements on where my head would be in a year and a half."
