Thorn to France denied
Brad Thorn's manager has denied the All Blacks lock is headed for reigning French champions Clermont after this year's Rugby World Cup.
French rugby newspaper Midi Olympique and several New Zealand news outlets have linked Thorn to the French club with some reports claiming he has already signed a one-year deal.
However, Thorn's agent Brett Gamble told The Press newspaper no contract had been signed and the 36-year-old double international was still considering his future.
"He's looking at a whole range of options post-footy in 2011 and, at this stage, his options are still open," Gamble said.
"He has got a number of things in front of him on the table that he is considering."
Thorn, who has played 50 rugby union Tests for New Zealand where he was born and rugby league Tests for Australia where he grew up, has expressed a desire to continue playing but spend more time with his family after the World Cup.
Clermont are coached by New Zealander Vern Cotter and have been on a buying spree in recent weeks, signing Wales fullback Lee Byrne, French fly-half David Skrela, former All Blacks centre Regan King, South African-born flanker Gerhard Vosloo and former French hooker Benjamin Kayser.
