France hunting down Cooper
Star Wallabies five-eighth Quade Cooper can expect a torrid night in Paris this weekend, with French coach Marc Lievremont declaring he has picked two "No.10 hunters".
Flankers Fulgence Ouedraogo and captain Thierry Dusautoir have been earmarked to do a job on Cooper, who was man of the match after a display of attacking wizardry against Italy last Saturday.
The pair will join The Caveman, Sebastien Chabal, in an intimidating Les Bleus back row.
"We could have gone for the power option we used against Argentina, while there was also the more mobile option with (Julien) Bonnaire at No.8, Dusautoir and Fulgence," Lievremont said.
"And then there was the other way, the one we chose, with two No.10 hunters (Dusautoir and Ouedraogo) and the power of Sebastien Chabal."
Bonnaire will sit on the bench after Ouedraogo was recalled despite upsetting Lievremont by complaining about being left out of the squad for last week's win over Argentina.
Chabal retains the No.8 jersey after earning a start in the 15-9 win over the Pumas, and the Wallabies were keen to reassure the French media he remained the symbol of their game in Australia.
"He's got good hair, a good beard, he's got big arms and he's been around for so long he's certainly the figure of French rugby and I'm looking forward to playing against him," centre Adam Ashley-Cooper said.
"He's certainly won my respect."
Wallabies coach Robbie Deans will name his side on Thursday (2300 AEDT), with winger James O'Connor and halfback Will Genia expected to return.
Genia declared himself ready to play after spending the entire Test against Italy on the bench.
"It's at a point where I can tolerate it and I think if I get picked I'll be 100 per cent good to go," he said.
