Barnes to captain midweek Wallabies
Former Wallabies vice captain Berrick Barnes will be skipper when a second string Australian side takes on English club side Leicester on Tuesday night (0630 Wednesday AEDT).
Barnes will play five-eighth in the side, which features the fringe players from the Wallabies squad.
The NSW Waratahs No.10 was named vice captain of the Wallabies for last year's spring tour, which was cut short by injury.
Third-choice hooker Huia Edmonds will start after receiving a late call-up to Australia's bench for Saturday's Test win over Wales.
Saia Fainga'a (cork) has been named on the bench, while Test No.2 Stephen Moore is being assessed by medical staff after suffering back twinge in the warm-up at Millennium Stadium.
A fit but jetlagged Tatafu Polota-Nau could also be a chance of playing on Tuesday with the Waratahs hooker on his way to the UK as back-up.
A big game from 34-year-old Queensland lock Van Humphries could have him pressing to become Australia's oldest ever Test debutant in next weekend's clash with England at Twickenham.
