Saints unsure whether Baker will play
St Kilda coach Ross Lyon says he's still unsure whether to risk tagger Steven Baker in his side's AFL preliminary final against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night.
Baker has not played for two and a half months after his hefty suspension mid-season for his infamous running battle with Geelong forward Steve Johnson during a match.
He was named in the Saints side last weekend, then withdrawn prior to the game.
Lyon said he had not made up his mind whether Baker would be part of the side which took on the Bulldogs at the MCG for a spot in the grand final.
"It's still a little bit up in the air - there's a lot of pros and cons," Lyon said on Thursday.
"He's training really well, he's put his hand up for selection again and we'll do our final session tonight and then make our final decision.
"He's a really respected player, but the other side of the coin is he's missed nine or 10 weeks and there's players been playing quite well.
"He brings some good things if we bring him in, but there's some risks as well."
The Saints must name their 22 later on Thursday.
