Buderus wins appeal
Australia international Danny Buderus won an appeal on Wednesday against a suspension that would have ruled him out of next week's Super League qualifying semi-final.
Buderus was given a one-match ban by the Rugby Football League disciplinary committee after being found guilty of making a dangerous throw on Paul Prescott in Sunday's playoff win away to Wigan.
But an appeals tribunal overturned Tuesday's verdict, saying in a statement that "after viewing fresh evidence on a DVD which showed the tackle from a different angle, the appeals tribunal ruled a STG300 ($A496) fine was the appropriate sanction".
Leeds' 27-26 victory over the league leaders also saw Danny McGuire suffer a season-ending knee injury.
