Dragons bounce back in style
Newport Gwent Dragons, who suffered a 40-17 mauling at Connacht in their Celtic League rugby union opener last weekend, bounced back with a 23-11 win over Glasgow on Sunday.
First-half tries from Robin Sowden-Taylor and Aled Brew set the Welsh region on their way although celebrations were tempered by a worrying leg injury to promising fly-half Jason Tovey who was replaced after just eight minutes.
On Saturday, South African back rower Robbie Diack scored the only try as Ulster made it back-to-back wins, edging past Aironi 22-15 in Italy to move second in the table behind Munster.
Leinster struck for two tries in the final 10 minutes as they beat the Cardiff Blues 34-23.
Joe Schmidt's Leinster secured the bonus point with Fergus McFadden and Ian Madigan crossing in the closing stages after early efforts from Shane Jennings and Isa Nacewa had them 14-0 ahead.
Cardiff had earlier rallied, grabbing tries through Bradley Davies and Richie Rees, while a penalty from Dan Parks briefly edged them in front at 23-20.
Munster stayed top on Friday with a 16-13 win over Edinburgh while defending champions Ospreys enjoyed a five-try romp to beat Benetton Treviso 32-16.
Two penalties from Paul Warwick to one by Chris Paterson on the stroke of half-time gave Munster a 6-3 advantage before Tim Visser's converted try five minutes after the break moved the Scots into a surprise 10-6 lead.
But Irish international Donncha O'Callaghan crossed for the visitors' only try, which was converted by Ronan O'Gara.
A Paterson penalty tied the score but O'Gara replied to make sure of the away win.
Ospreys sealed their first win of the season with a convincing five-tries-to-one victory over Benetton Treviso.
They also went from -3 points to +6 after having a four-point deduction overturned.
Lee Byrne, Nikki Walker, Andrew Bishop, Jonathan Thomas and Shane Williams scored the Ospreys' tries.
