Serbia coach Antic punished by FIFA
Serbia's football association says national team coach Radomir Antic has been handed a four-match suspension by FIFA for "inappropriate behavior" after their 2-1 World Cup loss to Australia.
The Football Association of Serbia said in a statement that the world governing body's disciplinary commission has banned and fined Antic 14,000 Swiss francs ($A15,000).
The statement said the disciplinary commission made the decision on July 3, but gave no other details.
It was not immediately clear why Antic has been punished, although he criticised the refereeing of the match in question, which Serbia lost to confirm their elimination from the tournament.
The Serbian FA issued a statement on Wednesday, criticising the decision and saying it would appeal.
