Brown fit to play Swans
Brisbane Lions captain Jonathan Brown has declared himself fit to play ladder leaders Sydney in Saturday night's AFL clash at the SCG.
The gun forward has been battling with an abdomen problem that clearly hindered his movement in his side's 50-point loss to Melbourne at the MCG on the weekend.
"Yeah I will be playing," Brown told reporters via videolink from Brisbane on Wednesday.
He said he had felt a little "tight in the abs" in the past few weeks.
"Sometimes you roll the dice and it comes off," he said of the match against the Demons.
"Last Saturday night I rolled the dice a little bit and I didn't play well.
"But I am certainly not making any excuses with an injury but hopefully I will do a little bit of training this week and move a bit freer on Saturday night."
Both the Lions and the Swans have made strong starts to the year, with win-loss records of 4-1.
