Warriors and Sea Eagles 16-all in trial
The Warriors enjoyed a strong final hit-out for the NRL season with a hard-fought 16-all draw with Manly in a trial match at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday.
New recruit Jeremy Latimore scored with four minutes remaining to ensure the New Zealand side heads into the new season on the back of an undefeated pre-season campaign.
The Sea Eagles led 16-10 in the second half thanks to a double from winger Michael Robertson and another try to George Rose.
The Warriors' had crossed earlier through hulking winger Manu Vatuvei and utility Joel Moon.
Sea Eagles star Anthony Watmough had another strong match, causing constant headaches for the Warriors' defence.
Des Hasler's side lost Chris Bailey to injury late in the game while new recruit Joe Galuvao was forced from the field against his former club in the first half, following a big hit from Russell Packer.
The Warriors open their NRL season against the Gold Coast at Skilled Park on March 14, while the Sea Eagles face Wests Tigers at the Sydney Football Stadium the following night.
