Devastated Wallabies arrive home
The Wallabies have arrived home following their painful loss to the All Blacks in Auckland with injury concerns over forward Richard Brown and centre Berrick Barnes.
Brown was scheduled to have X-rays on Sunday on his injured foot with Australian team officials suspecting he has bruising to the bone.
Barnes took a knock from New Zealand opposite Ma'a Nonu during Saturday night's 22-16 loss but medical staff don't believe it is serious.
"Just when Ma'a got me there in the first half, he got a good shot on me and it just continually kept getting worse the whole game so it was offering nothing really at the end," Barnes told AAP.
Lock James Horwill has a broken nose but is in no doubt for the Wallabies' next assignment, against South Africa in Cape Town on August 8.
Meanwhile, prop Al Baxter says South African referee Craig Joubert had an issue with his binding in the scrums on Saturday night, which cost the Wallabies several penalties.
But Baxter said he would analyse video of the game before deciding whether the calls were fair.
"We'll have to check out the vision and see what's happening and work on a few things to make sure it doesn't happen again," he told reporters at Sydney Airport.
