Rawlings confirms he wants Richmond job
Richmond's caretaker coach Jade Rawlings has confirmed he wants the job at the AFL club permanently.
Rawlings has impressed since he took over the Tigers in round 12 and it was assumed he would apply for the job.
His confirmation came a day after Richmond assistant coach Wayne Campbell said he was pulling out of the selection process.
"I'm very passionate about what I'd like to think I could do with this group," Rawlings said on Thursday.
"I'd like to think I'm establishing a rapport and chemistry and trust with these boys but it's something I'm now committing to, going through the process.
"I'm in it head deep, and I want to come out the other side as Richmond senior coach."
Rawlings' comments on the AFL website came four days after president Gary March said the caretaker coach was "well and truly in the mix" for the permanent job.
