Cats drop Wojcinski and Stokes
Geelong put reputations aside by dropping premiership players David Wojcinski and Mathew (Mathew) Stokes for Sunday's AFL game against Fremantle at Subiaco.
Despite having won all 11 games this season, the Cats made four changes to the side that beat West Coast, dropping Tom Lonergan and Nathan Djerrkura on Thursday night, and Wojcinski and Stokes when the final sides were named on Friday night.
Midfield gun Joel Corey, key defender Harry Taylor and flankers Max Rooke and David Johnson came into the side for the Cats, who are chasing a 12th successive interstate win, a stretch dating back to 2007.
Fremantle ended up making two changes, as defenders Luke McPharlin and Antoni Grover overcame injuries to return, at the expense of Brett Peake and Josh Head.
