Blues dissecting Maroons backline: Lyon
NSW centre Jamie Lyon says the Blues have already discussed Queensland's potent backline ahead of next week's State of Origin opener.
Queensland boast an all-star backline that scored 38 points when they turned out for Australia earlier this month.
Stopping the Maroons stars is key to NSW's chances of victory and Lyon said coach Craig Bellamy had brought the subject up in their first team meeting.
"Everyone is having their say about it, everyone knows how they've got a great backline and they've got internationals across the park," said Lyon.
"It's going to be a good challenge for us to see if we can shut them down."
Lyon is the veteran of the NSW backline that features rookies James McManus, Michael Jennings and Terry Campese.
He says he will have no specific advice for the debutants other than to carry their good NRL form into the Origin arena.
Meanwhile NSW posed for their team photo outside of their luxurious mansion accommodation in Werribee on Wednesday.
However with the threat of injury and suspension hanging over the team they were forced to pose for two photos with 18th man Luke Lewis substituting in for Glenn Stewart (judiciary hearing).
Stewart will fly to Sydney later on Wednesday to face the NRL judiciary on a dangerous throw charge that could earn a one match suspension and rule him out of his NSW debut.
