All Mumm as Brumbies stalk Waratahs
Talk the Brumbies could raid the NSW Waratahs' player stocks added an extra edge to Friday night's Super 14 derby in Canberra.
Young gun Rob Horne and Wallabies forward Dean Mumm were believed to on the Brumbies' radar.
Brumbies chief Andrew Fagan excited fans at a pre-game luncheon, claiming his franchise would soon have more news on the recruitment front after announcing two weeks ago that Matt Giteau would return to the national capital in 2010.
He denied the Brumbies had entered into negotiations with Horne and Mumm but said he would be happy to talk with both.
"If they are interested in coming to Canberra then we would be happy to talk to them," Fagan told AAP.
"They are both quality players."
The Brumbies have already declared they are in the race to sign Wallaby Drew Mitchell, who is likely to follow Giteau from the Western Force at the end of 2009.
It is believed the Brumbies have the financial resources to chase Mitchell and several other big-name players for 2010.
