Sharks have bonding session at Kiama
The Cronulla Sharks are using their week off to get to know each other a little better as they search for a drought-breaking premiership title.
Ricky Stuart's men headed off on Tuesday for a three-day bonding camp at Kiama, south of Sydney, in an effort to maintain their momentum before next week's NRL preliminary final.
Stuart is keen to ensure his players don't mentally switch off after earning a break this weekend.
"We are going away for three days, this is the time that you have to be together it is no good leaving one another's company now," Stuart told Sydney radio station 2KY.
"We are a really close bunch and it is even more important now to grow a bit more of a bond.
"We are going away and looking to come back with a bit more positive energy from the week off."
The Sharks won their fourth NRL match in a row by dismissing Canberra 36-10 at Toyota Stadium last weekend.
They play the winner of Saturday night's clash between Brisbane and Melbourne for a berth in the October 5 grand final.
The Sharks have never won a premiership since entering the top-flight back in 1967.
