Ugly scenes at under 20s NRL comp
The kids have gone wild.
The NRL's national under 20s competition degenerated into ugly scenes over the weekend with two brawls prompting a heavy response from the match review committee who on Monday cited one player for kicking.
Sydney Roosters' Ulise Fahrina has been ordered to front the judiciary on the serious charge of kicking after last Friday's fiery win over St George Illawarra.
Fahrina was one of three players sent from the field in the wild brawl incident as the Roosters somehow managed to win with just 10 men against 13.
The Roosters were already out of finals contention and clearly lost their cool in the game, Mad Monday coming way too soon as they let loose with their fists against the finals-bound Dragons.
Mose Masoe, Mark Talanoa and Galu Teo were all charged with contrary conduct from the 72nd minute brawl with Fahrina also hit with a grade two charge.
Masoe was the most serious of the contrary conduct charges with a grade five and at best a three-week ban.
In total the match review committee handed out at least six weeks of penalties to the Roosters brawlers, not including the expected lengthy ban for kicking headed Fahrina's way.
It was not the only ugly incident in the Toyota Cup in the final round with Manly and Penrith going head-to-head at CUA Stadium.
Manly prop Illija Radan was on Monday handed a grade three striking charge while Penrith hooker Joel Romelo was given a contrary conduct charge from their 70th minute stoush.
Radan faces a two week suspension and Romelo just the one, ruling him out of the Panthers' qualifying final this weekend.
