Wells re-signs with Kangaroos
North Melbourne midfielder Daniel Wells has re-signed with the AFL club for another two years.
The talented West Australian was not tempted to return home and said he would like to remain at the Kangaroos for his entire AFL career.
Wells had put off negotiations on a new deal until two weeks ago and said a new agreement was reached without much fuss.
"It's fantastic. My manager and the club have been working pretty hard in the last couple of weeks and they knocked it over pretty quickly so now I can look forward to playing some good footy," Wells said.
"The club has been fantastic for me not only with my footy but off the field as well, with some issues they have really helped me out so I want to pay them back.
"The playing group is fantastic and a huge reason why I signed up."
North CEO Eugene Arocca said the club would use Wells in their plans to win over greater support from their local ethnic and indigenous community.
He also said the Kangaroos had now re-signed more than three-quarters of the players the club believe are important to their future success.
