Penrith too good for Titans
Winger Michael Gordon helped himself to 20 points as Penrith made the Gold Coast's road the NRL finals even tougher with a 36-22 win at Skilled Park on Saturday night.
Gordon scored two tries and kicked six goals while Panthers teammate Frank Pritchard also crossed for a double.
Penrith, who kept their finals hopes alive, led 18-10 at half-time.
Gold Coast five-eighth Mat Rogers was put on report by referee Matt Cecchin for a 26th minute high tackle on Penrith winger Lachlan Coote who was falling when hit.
It was the Titans third consecutive home loss after recent defeats at the hands of St George Illawarra and Manly.
