Warriors sign Broncos youngster Kemp
Exciting young Brisbane back Denan Kemp has signed with the New Zealand Warriors for the next two NRL seasons.
The 21-year-old former Australian junior soccer representative who can play wing, fullback or centre, will be a Warrior until the end of the 2010 season.
He will join former Broncos team-mate Brent Tate, who linked with the Auckland-based club this season.
"I'm excited about moving to Auckland to join the Warriors," Kemp said in a statement.
"It's a really good club with a great coaching staff and squad.
"I've spoken to Tatey about living in New Zealand and he's been really helpful. He told me he loves it there.
"I've been shown around the place and I like what I've seen. It's a brilliant set-up.
"My focus is on this year with the Broncos but I'm also looking forward to coming over later in the year."
Coach Ivan Cleary said Kemp had all the qualities the Warriors were looking for in an outside back.
"He'll certainly give us pace, a really good work ethic and he's also a goal kicker," Cleary said.
