Carlton re-signs Betts for two seasons
Carlton have re-signed small forward Eddie Betts for another two AFL seasons.
Blues president Richard Pratt announced the re-signing at the pre-game lunch before Saturday's game against Fremantle at Telstra Dome.
In further recognition for Betts, the Aboriginal goalsneak was given the honour of tossing the coin before the game as part of the indigenous round commemorations.
Betts, who has played 66 games, is currently amid the best of his four seasons.
During the lunch, Pratt also commended Carlton's effort in breaking through 40,000 members for the first time during the week.
