Dons players to face charges
Essendon midfielder Mark McVeigh will join team-mate Paul Barnard at the AFL tribunal after the video review of round eight.
McVeigh was booked on video evidence for striking Hawthorn's Michael Osborne last Friday night at the MCG.
Barnard was booked on the night for striking Luke Hodge.
Port Adelaide key forward Chad Cornes was booked on video evidence for engaging in rough play against Kangaroos onballer Jess Sinclair.
Also, a striking charge against Hawk Nick Holland was withdrawn and Leigh Harding of the Kangaroos will also not have to answer a charging allegation.
The AFL is investigating why Carlton forward Adrian Hickmott had to leave the field with a cut head.
The Western Bulldogs are denying Hickmott was bitten.
