Australia to learn of its final opponent
It's been a long few days of waiting for Australia's one-day cricket side, which will Sunday finally learn of its opponents in the tri-series final.
Australia booked its place in Tuesday's final two matches ago and will play the winner of Sunday's match between India and New Zealand at Hyderabad.
The home side will be under enormous pressure to reach the series decider at Eden Gardens, but it will find a willing opponent in the Black Caps.
New Zealand beat India the last time the two sides met, in Cuttack on November 6.
Australia will resume training Sunday morning but take time out in the afternoon to watch the Wallabies take on the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup semi-final.
The Australians fired off a fax wishing George Gregan's side good luck.
Having won the past five of its six pool matches, Australia's biggest headache is sorting out a selection battle among the fast bowlers.
Nathan Bracken is the series' leading wicket-taker with 13 and should return to the side after he was rested from Wednesday's win over India in Bangalore, but Michael Kasprowicz, Brad Williams and Andy Bichel are pushing hard for the remaining two spots in the pace attack.
Williams picked up two man-of-the-match awards in early games against New Zealand, Kasprowicz has bowled beautifully in the last two matches and Bichel, the best batsman of the quartet, has improved his rhythm after a poor start to the series.
