Socceroos overtake Kiwis in rankings
Australia's historic 3-1 win over England has pushed the Socceroos up three places in the FIFA world rankings and back to the top of the Oceania group.
Australia moved from 50th to 47th in the rankings, leapfrogging New Zealand (50) to reclaim the position of Oceania's No.1 team.
Australia has 575 points, one point behind 46th-ranked Ukraine and 15 points clear of New Zealand.
There were few changes at the top of the rankings, with Brazil continuing to lead France and Spain.
Argentina's recent hat-trick of wins let it sneak past Germany for fourth spot, with the Netherlands, Turkey, England, Mexico and the United States making up the top 10.
Switzerland moved up four places to 40th, its highest position for six-and-a-half years, thanks to its impressive 5-1 away victory over World Cup qualifiers Slovenia.
