Australia ready to face Windies
Australia will have its final training session before playing its first match of the Champions Trophy tournament on Wednesday against defending champion West Indies.
Australia has performed well in the past week, with most players finding form in practice matches on Thursday and Sunday against local sides Maharashtra and Mumbai respectively.
West Indies are in poor form after being bowled out for 80 in a qualifying match against Sri Lanka at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) Ground in Mumbai on Saturday.
Australia will play the Windies at the same ground on Wednesday, and there are fears in the Australian camp that the wicket will continue to play tricks and make scoring difficult.
The Australians had a day off training and vice-captain Adam Gilchrist spent his free time helping World Vision to promote Tuesday's International Day of Poverty Eradication.
Gilchrist, who says he was introduced to child-sponsorship programs by his parents, sponsors a nine-year-old boy called Mangesh who lives in poverty in West Mumbai with two brothers and their mother, after their father died of tuberculosis three years ago.
The Australian wicketkeeper says he gave a bike to Mangesh two years ago and plans to meet his sponsored child again.
