Murali will be back: Sri Lanka captain
Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu believes Australian fans have not seen the last of spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.
Atapattu suggested that if Muralitharan held off retirement then he would tour Australia when the Sri Lankans return in two years' time.
Muralitharan, who claimed the tourists' sole wicket in the third one-day tri-series final at the Gabba on Tuesday night, has been the subject of constant taunts because of his controversial bowling action this summer.
He had previously threatened to never tour Australia again after receiving sustained crowd abuse in 2003 but relented to participate last year's Tsunami charity cricket match in Melbourne.
"I don't think a player of his calibre deserves anything like that (abuse)," Atapattu said.
"It depends how long he plays for but I think he'll tour again. I think he still has goals he wants to achieve and he'll tour."
