Wallabies lose final Test
The Wallabies have lost their fourth and final Test of their European Tour 24-22 to Wales in Cardiff despite scoring three tries to the home side's two.
Flyhalf Mat Rogers had the chance to tie the scores late in the match after Lote Tuqiri set up a brilliant Chris Latham try but his angled 74th minute conversion sailed wide of the left upright.
It was Wales' first win in 18 years against the Wallabies and ended a 24-year drought at home against Australia.
The Wallabies led 14-6 shortly after halftime, but the match turned on a controversial penalty try to Wales against Australia's back-pedalling scrum in the 49th minute.
Six minutes later, crowd favourite Shane Williams made Millennium Stadium shake when he combined with skipper Gareth Thomas for a superb 80 metre try, giving Wales the lead they never relinquished.
The tour-ending loss sees the Wallabies leave Europe with an unpalatable 1-3 record, heaping further pressure on coach Eddie Jones to keep his job.
