Adelaide defeats Queensland in A-League
The fallout from Adelaide's 2-1 win over Queensland could end in the A-League boardroom after Roar coach Miron Bleiberg claimed he was abused by opposing coach John Kosmina.
Bleiberg and Kosmina had been engaged in a public slanging match in the lead-up but the situation reached boiling point after fulltime with a police officer needed to separate the pair at Suncorp Stadium.
A fired up Bleiberg could be seen screaming and pointing at Kosmina after Adelaide midfielder Lucas Pantelis slotted home a late winner to snatch the dramatic victory.
Bleiberg claimed in the post match press conference that Kosmina had abused him in a foul-mouth tongue-lashing that could land the pair in hot water with league officials.
"I tell you what, honestly, I was quite surprised," Bleiberg said.
"We all have a job to promote the A-League and I said what I said (during the week about Adelaide).
"It was nothing personal and partly to promote the game. I didn't have any complaints but when we shook hands he started to talk some language that the ladies here would probably be offended by.
"I was quite surprised because I didn't complain. If you ask him he'll probably deny it. I didn't even listen to what he said but there were a lot of words that started with (the letter) c."
Kosmina said he could not remember what was said following the game.
"I can't remember it was too long ago," he said while adding that Bleiberg's comments had fired his side up for the clash.
