No rest for Tigers whiz-kid Marshall
Things just don't get any easier for Wests Tigers whiz-kid Benji Marshall.
A week after conquering Australian Test five-eighth Darren Lockyer, Marshall will line up against Dragons pivot Trent Barrett when the Tigers play St George Illawarra in Saturday night's NRL preliminary final at Aussie Stadium.
But far from being daunted by the prospect, Marshall said he was looking forward to the clash.
"It will be a good challenge for me to play against Trent Barrett, but I was speaking to the coach about it this morning and he said I (should) just worry about my own game and not so much worry about his game and I should be sweet," Marshall said.
"Just focus on what I've got to do and not worry about what he's going to do.
"Trent's a great player and I've got a lot of respect for the bloke."
Hearing Barrett speak it is obvious the respect is mutual, but the Dragons skipper said the battle of the pivots wasn't an issue for him.
"I'd rather us win than anything else," Barrett said.
"It doesn't really worry me how we win. As long as we win.
"That's more the focus, not probably match-ups.
