Record crowd at Australian Open
More than 60,000 tennis fans went through the gates at the Australian Open in Melbourne on Saturday, setting a Grand Slam attendance record.
The final attendance was 60,669, the first time any of the world's four Gram Slam events broke the 60,000 mark in a single day.
Last week, 57,045 attended Tuesday's day and night sessions.
The previous highest attendance was in 2002, when 56,577 fans packed Melbourne Park's grounds and stadiums.
