AFL still probing Swans interchange call

The AFL say they are viewing all available footage as they try to work out whether the interchange infringement which hurt Sydney against Carlton on Friday night was correct.

The Swans have claimed they have down-the-ground footage which shows they did not have 19 players on the ground at the time the crucial decision was made.

The resultant 50 metre penalty set up a Carlton goal which put the Blues seven points clear late in the third quarter and helped them to a 16 point win.

An AFL spokesman said on Sunday an investigation into the incident was continuing, but the league was yet to see any footage which showed the decision to be incorrect.

"We position a down-the-ground camera at venues, to provide vision which clubs can use for coaching purposes," he said.

"It's a matter of going through all of that."

The spokesman said the investigation was likely to be completed on Monday.

Swans coach John Longmire said after the match that there should be "serious consequences" if it was found that the decision was a mistake.
