Fiji goes European for World Cup
Twenty-seven European-based players have declared their availability to play for Fiji at this year's Rugby World Cup.
Fiji assistant coach Shannon Fraser returned home on Thursday from a trip where he met players from 16 clubs in Britain, Ireland and France who were eligible to play for Fiji in New Zealand in September and October.
Fraser said he was confident the players Fiji eventually chooses will be available, though he had not spoken to clubs about releasing players because that was an issue for the Fiji Rugby Union and the International Rugby Board.
Fraser said all players spoken to had "expressed genuine interest in being considered and have communicated their availability."
