Baiteri set for France debut
Australian-raised forward Jason Baiteri will make his international debut for France in their opening Alitalia European Cup clash with Ireland in Avignon this weekend.
The Paris-born youngster, who played one NRL game for Sydney Roosters, recently signed for English Super League club Catalans Dragons and will line up alongside 11 of his new team-mates.
There are 10 survivors from the French side that crashed to a 60-6 defeat by England at Leigh in June but coach Bobbie Goulding is able to call on Cyril Stacul, Vincent Duport, Teddy Sadaoui, Jean-Philippe Baile and Kane Bentley, who were all missing that day through injury.
Ireland will be led by Huddersfield utility back Scott Grix, who will have brother Simon company for the first time at international level.
