Spanish players party on
The Spanish didn't waste any time in celebrating their World Cup triumph over the Netherlands, partying in the changing rooms at Soccer City for almost two hours.
A giddy Joan Capdevila was first to emerge, with a red bucket on his head and clutching the World Cup trophy, which a gaggle of Spanish radio reporters had their hands all over.
"We're still partying in there," he said before securing the cup and turning back on his heels.
Sergio Ramos summed up what went on behind closed doors: "Beer, beer - and more beer," he said.
"And lifting the cup."
Xavi Hernandez and Carles Puyol, who was clutching a bottle of beer, chose to run through a crowd of reporters, singing 'Champions, Champions, Ole, Ole, Ole," medals hanging around their neck.
