World Cup officials a big success: FIFA
FIFA's head of refereeing says World Cup match officials have been "a big success".
Jose-Marcia Garcia-Aranda says analysis of the first 62 matches showed that referees got more than 96 per cent of their decisions right.
Garcia-Aranda says FIFA aren't trying to hide mistakes that were made, but said they only happened in very few matches.
Referees were widely criticised during the tournament after game-changing errors helped eliminate England and Mexico in the second round.
The United States were also denied a likely winning goal in a group match and Brazil's Kaka was harshly sent off.
