Beckham meets Desmond Tutu

David Beckham has shared a philosophical moment with retired Cape Town Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
According to a statement issued by the Desmond Tutu Peace Center, the two chatted over tea Thursday at Tutu's office.
Beckham is quoted as telling Tutu he was disappointed not to be playing in this year's World Cup. An Achilles' tendon injury kept Beckham out of the tournament.
Beckham says "these things happen in life. Although I would have loved to have played, I'm here to support my team and South Africa's World Cup.
