Iniesta available for World Cup
Spain's Andres Iniesta will go to the World Cup after medical scans taken on Wednesday showed a leg injury was not as bad as feared.
Iniesta suffered an injury to his right thigh in Tuesday's 6-0 friendly win over Poland.
The Spanish federation said an MRI scan revealed swelling but it "does not appear to be a tear".
"We cannot determine the recovery time but the player's chances of playing the first game of the World Cup have not been discarded," the federation said on their website.
Iniesta emerged from Creu Blanca Clinic in Barcelona smiling to tell waiting reporters: "I'm OK."
The European champions open Group H of the June 11-July 11 tournament in South Africa against Switzerland on June 16 before playing Honduras and Chile.
Iniesta set up Spain's first two goals against Poland before coming off in the 39th minute.
He has not played a full game for Spain since February 2009 and the 26-year-old has been bothered by the same muscle since May 2009.
