Sidelined Brumbies winger Francis Fainifo on Friday re-signed with the Super 14 side for a further two years.

Fainifo, who had a disappointing season after missing the second half of the competition through injury, said it was always his intention to stay with the ACT-based franchise.

"It's where it all started for me and they gave me my chance," he said.

Fainifo, who has 39 Super 14 caps to his name, missed the final six matches of the 2010 regular season after breaking his leg against the Chiefs in week seven.

The 26-year-old former rugby league player joined the Brumbies at the end of 2006.
