Medhurst good chance to play for Magpies
Collingwood say goalsneak Paul Medhurst is a big chance to play in the Magpies' AFL clash with St Kilda on Monday night as he recovers well from an ankle injury.
Magpies skipper Nick Maxwell says Medhurst's condition is improving, and hinted defender Heath Shaw may also be some chance to return for the match at Etihad Stadium following a persistent hamstring problem.
Medhurst sprained his ankle early in the Pies' 52-point win over North Melbourne last Friday night, and his cause has been helped by the 10-day break between matches.
"Medhurst will be a chance and the 10 days will help him a lot," Maxwell said.
"A couple of our guys are a bit sore so the longer break gives them more of a chance to heal."
While forward spearhead Anthony Rocca is likely to be available after missing last weekend's match with a virus, midfielder Alan Didak remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
