West Coast teenager Naitanui sidelined
Prized West Coast AFL recruit Nic Naitanui has hit a hurdle in his bid to return from knee surgery, suffering a hamstring injury on the eve of his playing return.
Naitanui, who had surgery on his left knee in January, was set to resume playing duties in the WAFL reserves on Saturday after a solid month on the training track.
But the 18-year-old will be held back after complaining of hamstring tightness on Friday morning.
It is hoped Naitanui, a 201cm ruckman snared with pick No.2 in last year's national draft, will be available to resume next week.
Meanwhile, the Eagles have elevated exciting rookie Adam Cockie onto their senior list.
